Hi guys, new to all this jeep stuff. Got an 02 Liberty Limited. The ****** slips in 3rd and 4th, I can "kick" the pedal and get it to lock and drive. I ran OBD2 on it and got "incorrect ratio" codes on 3 and 4. I been researching online and it seems that this is commonly associated with a bad tcm or speed sensor. I'm pretty sure it's not mechanical but just wondering if you guys had any experience with this problem. I hear that if I buy a used tcm it has to be programmed for my specific VIN? Is this correct?
