I checked the filter head and it's metal and I did not find any leaks on it. When I put the lift pump in I made sure the ends were snug on the pump. But I didn't like the style on ends. I gotcha. It never started up after I replaced the pump. Its still doing the same thing. One reason and I'm not sure on this but that it might be a computer issue instead. Either that or it's just a bad rebuilt pump. Especially with it not throwing any codes. I would think though being a gear...- jlh571

No. Nothing to speak of. I've cracked the line coming out the pump and don't get any pressure. It has good pressure coming from the tank on the out side of the fuel filter housing. After I changed the IP it is still doing the same thing as it was before the IP.- jlh571

Just no pressure in the fuel rail. Testing and talking to people it was the next thing on the list. The pump is gear driven of the timing belt so I thought it should have pressure coming out of the pump. I grew up with a mechanic but never had a diesel. He are some inside pics. I did also replace the fps, and when I read the codes there are not any now. If I unplug say the fps it instantly trips a code. It very well might be a bad IP. Low chances but it does happen. It is a rebuilt.- jlh571

It's almost dark here. I can upload more pics tomorrow and anything specific you want to see. The timing belt was done since I had to take it off to get to the hpfp.
