Shock Recommendations
Alright. Another thing is the duralast shocks had the bottom mount too thin and washers didn’t seem to hep and I didn’t want to have the same issue if I bought new ones. Shock Recommendations
The ones I had were duralast which seem to not be the best. My main concern is the width of the top and bottom mounts, was there anything you added to help make them fit or would they be fine? The ones I’m looking at are these from AutoZone: KYB Excel-G Shock 344404...- Ethan05

Shock Recommendations
I was wondering what the best shocks would be for a 2005 Jeep Liberty that would fit pretty much perfectly without any issues. The previous shocks I’ve got had the smaller mount thinner than the original shocks and it caused too much noise and was too much hassle to try to fix. I don’t need them...- Ethan05

the bolts are fine it seems. The diameter of the new shocks bottom mount is smaller than the old ones. We put some spacers on the bottom and it seemed to help a bit, but there is still a bit of noise. I will be looking into getting a bushing sleeve to fit the space needed. I read that the torque specs were around 80-90lbs, but we double checked and torqued them to around 100lbs I believe- Ethan05

It was my uncle that actually replaced them and I was there. They didn't mess with anything other than the shocks from what I seen but I can double check.- Ethan05

Alright I appreciate the quick responses! However, we took the whole wheel off not too long ago and looked at everything to see anything out of the ordinary but it seemed fine. We torqued the wheel back on too- Ethan05

We’ve moved the spring to the right spot before trying to find the problem but it didn’t seem to help. We also have rocked the jeep a bunch but it doesn’t make any noise.- Ethan05

Right rear shock making a strange noise
The passenger rear shock is making a strange thud or thumping noise when driving, especially over bumps. I recently had the shocks replaced. The left rear sounds fine. Has anyone had issues like this?- Ethan05
