Prevoius owner is untruthful. A ball joint that dry after 12 months? I just did my lowers on an 06 and I used Moog problem solver. Just by vision they seem to be alot stronger and robust.
It's a 90 degree v-6, that was hatched from the 4.7l. it is normal if you have no miss fire! I have a manual transmission and its really bad. It's seems on the automatics it's more smooth since the torque converter masks the shake!
I think the metal used for the splines and threads are different from kk to kj. My 06 looks almost brand new and my 12 is starting corrode like the pictures in this thread.
One option is to replace the cooler with a aftermarket one (same size) and leave the old one in place. I have not heard of any problems with the factory cooler or the fittings. you are the first.
With this liberty not having a dipstick i would not drive it until this situation is resolved since...
Volkswagon has a major problem with the plastic impeller water pumps. they crack off the bearing shaft and then proceed to warp the head.
As the poster ahead of me said bmw has a major problem also with plastic impellers.
I guess jeep sprung for the good plastic because you don't hear much...
No it doesn't! But i don't no what other brands bearings are like either. Since we don't have access to engineering specs and metallurgy reports, all we have to go by are looks (casting flash, workmanship etc...) and word of mouth.
