I haven't noticed any difference in engine braking, and Eddo, I never said I had a 4 cylinder. Our 04 Sport had a six cylinder and 4.10s. :-k

I scotchguarded mine the day we got it home and it did prevent water spots. We had a lot of rain and snow right after we bought it, and getting in wet we never stained the seats after I treated them.

We just bought an 06 Renegade, and it does get better mileage. I couldn't tell you how much of a difference the tranny makes though, because the gearing on this jeep is 3.73, and our sport we traded in had 4.10 s. So mileage is MUCH better. It seems like shifting is crisper than our 04 though...

I'm supposed to be getting mine back from the dealer today with the same problem fixed. They said my multi-function switch (headlight/fog/turn signal) was bad and that was causing all of the problems you described. I'll let you know if it worked.

I'm having a similar issue now with that same click, but thankfully it hasn't actually turned my headlights off, but it does turn my fogs off. It also just happens randomly, and will click with no lights on during the day. The vehicle is brand new, but the dealer says they can't find anything...
