    So the plastic handle has no linkage, but a switch witch contacts to the electrical motor to open the glass latch. Being the keyfob works you say I need to remove the plastic handle from the hatch to locate this switch Bob

    But I highly recommend the viscus heater conversion kit, built strong, all the parts to complete the job, and ez, pezey job. 20 minutes and back on road.

    Oh forgot to up date I bought a conversation kit from wwdiesel and it worked great no more squeaking, and didn't even see much of a difference in the heat. Great thing to pass on quick and ez Bob

    Yea the window will unlatch with the key fob so I guess the electrical should be ok but you say there is a linkage from the handle to the latch motor

    My plans also are the timing belt and water pump but I first need the get this clutch fan off. It's tight and I dont know if it's left or right hand threads I may be fighting it instead of removing it.

    It should spin freely backwards I was told but will still work and charge. That too was on my replacement list

    Well with the sepertine belt off the squeaking went away. So new idlers, tentioner, viscous heater delete kit, and sepertine belt, I think I am going to try the clutch fan next. But can not figure right or left thread it's tight

    It's a crd and no I haven't touched the timing belt, water pump, or those idlers. Does it sound like something in side the timing belt. Should there be more signs besides a little squeaking
