Are all First Gen door seals created equal? Will seal from any other year fit our 2006? ( I know the hood and grill are different ) Anybody find a source of high quality door seal? Id like to avoid used if possible for this seal. Hope that’s not a pipe dream. Many thanks for your input.

We’ve just replaced all brakes and front hubs and bearings too, without being told it was needed. Best start with knowns there! Just did the shoes and struts, too... taking out the drivers seat today to replace the bottom leather ( indoors ) waiting for a warmer day to do o2 sensor downstream...

It’s a growing investment.. mine too. More work than was expected, but love is blind, eh?

Thanks for your response, although based on the results sown in Vin searches, Jeep keeps track of which vehicles participated in which recalls. Are you and others thinking the recalls are supporting our Jeeps for their lives, meaning they’d be providing repeated hitches to protect the gas tank...

Thanks so much @Dave_too for the share. Your middle image shows your hitch has bends in the crossmember, though, and the Curt hitch is straight, no bends . I’ll be sure to post the results.

I hear you. this is the newest car I’ve ever worked on. Restored two bone-stock 66-77 Ford Broncos, uncut, 302 V8s. Never worked on nothing with any eLeCtRoNicS like this before! Sheesh. It’s a WHOLE new world to me.
