I've got the renegade w/ factory sunroof and factory light bar. The light bar sits forward of the sunroof by only an inch or two. I don't have any exact measurements, but I can take a photo for you later this morning if that would help.

Re: TN/VA Yeah. I'm in the Nashville/Clarksville area on the west side. I've seen all kinds of vehicles that I wouldn't call road-worthy. All rusted out, no mufflers, doors tied on with bungee cord, etc. I can't imagine anybody being uptight over lights.

I've got the '05 Renegade with EVIC and the less-brilliant TPMS. I really wish the one I had gotten had the $75 upgrade, and I keep wanting to add it. It seems like nobody can find a dealership mechanic that can give anyone a straight answer. I'd be very happy to hear someone have some success...
