Vibration between 40-55, worst at 50, started 2 months ago

Sounds like a potential wheel bearing and/or transmission shutter. For a transmission shutter you can try this. It works pretty fantastic. Wheel bearings take a little more time to diagnose but no more then jacking up the front end rotating the wheels and listen for anything as well check for...

2004 Jeep Liberty won't start, cranks once then nothing

It can be a fuel pump and/or it could be a cam position sensor and/or crank position sensor that are both on the right side of the engine. Relatively cheap and easy to change both at the same time. One of those can be your culprit if they have never been changed. They will cause some of the...

Where to get OME springs, shocks, struts for cheaper

Here is what I used. Worked perfect. I added more lift to this kit. I’m at 4.5 inches of lift now but this kit by itself will actually give you 2.5inches of lift not 1.5. I used the heavy duty CRD coils because of the extra weight from a bumper and winch...

    Gas mileage

Nice little Libby you got there. My 2 cents is if your daily driving it 100 miles I’d just stick with the 29’s. Your transmission and gas mileage will thank you. I run just over 31 inch tires but my Libby is just a toy for camping and off-road. I drove it for about a week just to see what...

    Jeep Liberty Overheat issue

Yup I agree with KJowner. Rule out a head gasket before spending time and effort on anything. The symptom you described you are having after all the work you have done is an indication of a potentially bad head gasket. I hope it’s not but the possibility is there.

    Jeep Liberty Overheat issue

Yes you can. If you search on here for TwoBobsKJ there is a write up I believe. A few things are involved. If you have a salvage yard near you that has some Jeep KJs it can make things cheaper to accomplish.

    Jeep Liberty Overheat issue

If you have the factory towing package it comes with an electric fan as well as a clutch driven fan. Keeps the engine nice and cool. If not you get an electric fan to keep everything cool. I didn’t see in your write up about checking your electric fan. I could have missed it but if not it may...

    Jeep Liberty Overheat issue

Does your KJ have the factory HD cooling? Meaning electrical fan as well a clutch driven fan? Could be the electric fan or could be the mechanical fan clutch as well.

What rear springs for 3in lift?

Ironman 4x4 has rear coils that will net you 2.25 inches of lift for less money. Then add a few isolators same as what duderz7 had mentioned.

    possible traction control issue

Just 2…one mounted out on each end of the axle. Takes about 15 minutes to change those out.

    possible traction control issue

Had a similar issue with my daughters 2006. I just hit the ESP button to disable the system so she could still drive it until I could trouble shoot the system. It ended up being multiple abs sensors. In the end I just decided to replace all 4 of them since they were the originals and Rockauto...

Was going to ask if you have the Jeeps transmission in neutral when engaging/disengaging 4wd?

    Front driveshaft replacement part wrong

Something to keep in mind as well since, I just rebuilt my front driveshaft, Rockauto also sells complete front drive shafts and rebuild kits as well. You can check your part number when you click on a drive shaft and see if your number crosses with that part. Just food for thought for later...

New to KJ and info on the lift I’m installing

Yup…I went with the diesel front coils because of my winch so it would not sag. In total using their set up you will net 2.25 inches of lift all the way around. I wanted a little more lift so added a 5/16 spacer plates on top of front coil plates when installing the strut. Then installed Jeep...

New to KJ and info on the lift I’m installing

Thank you. Yes I used one inch hub-centric adapter spacers with wrangler rubicon wheels. Some folks don’t like using any kind os spacers or adapter spacers etc but I’ve used them on many vehicles and taken them all Offroad and beat the crap out them with zero issues. As long as you purchase a...

New to KJ and info on the lift I’m installing

First off sorry for loss and the issues you’re having with vehicles. Things always seem to have a snowball effect in our lives when things tend to go south then another and another but I think sometimes in the valley is where we learn the most. Secondly I agree with what “duderz7” said in an...

Lift, Big Tires Now I need big gears

You bet. Amen…on all. Just like most Jeeps you can get carried away easily with modding so much and these boogers are so very capable and underestimated. Yes they have their limitations as most Jeeps do when you dig into them but like you said a $4k jeep that can hang with most your buddies...
