earlier i wrote that i was concerned about a rubbing noise in the rear end.
it turns out that it was rear differential - had not been serviced by the
prev. owner and was very low on specific lubricant. dealer was patient
in sorting out the noises i was addressing and they finally found it...
thanks for the tips - my question would be that if it were an out
of round situation - then you would think that rolling forward w/
brake on would create the same scenario - however this does not
happen. i appreciate the suggestion and will probably still do this
to see if we can replicate the...
i guess thats the good news, now i just have to find out what
is causing the rubbing noise. will keep updating as i get
to the bottom of this. thanks again.

JUST GOT THE LIBBY BACK FROM DEALER - NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

supposedly the e brake was checked. am taking this to dealer
on sat. with as much info as i can get to see what they say
this particular model of jeep seems to have lots of groans and
creaks - more so even than my cherokee
however these concern me. it also makes more...
i have a 2002 liberty. when backing up i get an almost rubbing noise-
appears to come from the rear. it makes the noise, stops and repeats
as tho happening during the revolution of the wheel or?
additionally when going over speed bumps in the road, the front
suspension makes a "bungie" noise...
