My gears where to high.....It caused the RPMs to go way up into 4000 range and I was barely moving. If I had a lower gear ratio (higher number) it would pull alot easier. Wildbill

I'm not an expert but it looks like Someone hit a curb or similar object. There are scuff marks on the sidewall near the slice. If it's holding air I'd swap it out and use it as spare. Sidewalls are nothing to mess with, they can go at any time. Wildbill

Thanks CableGuy.....That's pretty much what it looked like down there. I had a Large Square plug that went down into the pan and two smaller plugs near where the Tranny Lines are attached. I was also thinking that they could be wired in a series and by messing with one I colud create another...

I was unable to install the temp gauge, couldn't locate the sending unit with the crappy schematics given to me by local JEEP Dealer. So I guess I'll have to rely in the Idiot Light for now. [-o< Wildbill (Cheers)

Thanks for the quick replies..... I'm a mechanical type of guy and located a trans temp that I will install tomorrow. It won't help if it over heats but at least I will be able to monitor the temps better than waiting on the Idiot light to come on #-o Wildbill (Cheers)

What is the most anyone here has towed with their KJ? I have the towing Pkg and have towed some smaller trailers and like the way it does it, but I plan on towing a car trailer and YJ and will be pushing the envelope with the 5,000 lbs rating and would like to know if anyone else has done the...

You are right about the "hole", it's a vent. Both of your diffs have them too, but they have a tube that extends up near the top of fenderwells. The best solution for the tranny is to do the same type of vent tube for it. Wildbill

OK, My Wife's KJ had 400 miles on when we did this to test it out.....

Did it mention the speeds that those test were performed at? Just was wondering what speed I should keep it under when backing up :-s
