The only way I could source the 24-139168 was to buy a whole kit with the shorter 24-139175 included, so I went for it. Now I wondering whether I should throw on the back shocks too for a test. Yeap and pretty cheap to be honest. However I think it's going to be a big step down from my OME, that's why I was thinking of trying either the bilsteins - nothing available, or the Ranchos.- elafilos

I am literally unable to source the 4600 in Greece right now. Might be able to find the 5100 available but at a premium, since they are the same I might pull the trigger. Aluminum Coolant Overflow Tank
Found those on ebay. Not sure if it's against the forum terms to share it here, but you can search for Jeep KJ coolant expansion tank. It seems to be a direct fit (according to the seller), and definitely cheaper than buying a brand new mopar part.- elafilos

Failed 3.7 Engine Disassembly (2003) - Interesting Finds
The whole engine got disassemblied and sent to a machine shop for inspection. Final verdict was that the engine was starved from oil. Lots of debris in the oil pan and the pickup screen. The middle cylinders 3+4 where starved and both rods where stuck on the crankshaft. Damage was terminal and...- elafilos

2k KM later update... Bad news - got quite a lot of oil consumption already added 2.5 liters (3 quarts +-). The car smells bad, but there is no smoke. No external leaks at all. The vibration is still there, yet haven't found out what's causing it. There is also a fluttering sound in low RPM...- elafilos

Almost there. Got the bust engine out today - I was a real nightmare due to it not being able to turn. Bought brand new engine mounts since we are already there, and a brand new original water pump. Fingers crossed it would be done by tomorrow.- elafilos

Engine finally arrived. Quite expensive, but at least it's a low mileage (given it's age) and stock engine. No LPG conversions etc so it should be fine. There is some surface rust given the fact that it was used in a coastal area of Crete, however nothing major that some good scrub and paint...- elafilos

And another update. The moment we pulled the engine out of my KJ just got a call from a company dealing second hand jeep parts saying the found an engine from a car. It's from a 133.000km 2003 KJ which got bad roof rust, since it was used in a coastal area. Price was a bit over budget, but...- elafilos
