    Ticking noise(s)

I'm thinking for now I'll deal with the issues I know it has and plan on doing a compression test when I have the time just for ease of mind. It isn't doing anything too alarming. Found a great engine rebuild series on YouTube for the 3.7 that left me feeling a lot more confident about the idea...

P0128 (I know its been talked about)

I got a coolant flush and thermostat scheduled at my local shop, having them do transmission fluid and filter while they're at it for a total of $750... woof. I have parts ordered for a PCV update. Any other systems I should be particularly worried about on a mistreated kj?

P0128 (I know its been talked about)

Noted. From what I'm seeing on thermostats they're all made by motorad now? I found one on Amazon that says it's mopar but has some mixed reviews based on the motorad stamp being on the Stat itself, is this the part I want or should I keep looking?

P0128 (I know its been talked about)

I'll see about having my shop do the thermostat while they're at it, and make sure they use the mopar part. I'd do it all myself but it's 30-40 degrees out so dealing with coolant doesn't sound fun, especially if I may still end up having a shop bleed it anyway. I've used the bleeder but there...

P0128 (I know its been talked about)

When I changed the heater core the coolant that came out was green I also have noticed air sounds in the heater core so I'm probably gonna take it to a shop for a flush to solve both of those. Could air cause the p0128?

P0128 (I know its been talked about)

The KJ threw a P0128 yesterday, which from reading other forums could be IAT, ECT, or thermostat. I burped the system today but there didnt seem to be any air bubbles. My question is, if a scan tool reads fairly normal temps from both of those sensors then should I assume they both are still...

    Upgrade Your PCV System TSB#25-001-08

Has anyone else used those part numbers for this update? Has anyone done it with a vacuum cap instead of swapping the oil filler neck? I guess I'll know if it works in a few weeks when parts arrive.

    Ticking noise(s)

I have a ticking noise coming from either side of the engine, louder on the driver's side, but pretty faint, can't even hear it with the hood down. When I bought it in September (for $1000) it had dropped a ball joint, when I got it fixed (and lifted) it threw a code for downstream O2 sensor...

    Please help engine noise

Any updates? I have a ticking noise on either side of the engine and my crazy self is torn between renting shop space to pull the heads, have them machined, change timing chain and oil pump while I'm there, or just hoping it gets me to and from the slopes all winter before something catastrophic...

Grinding noise when going from Park to Reverse

I don't know a thing about transmissions, but I'm pretty sure it's not your transfer case unless you're in 4wd? If I'm wrong hopefully someone with more knowledge joins the thread to correct me.

    Upgrade Your PCV System TSB#25-001-08

From what I've found the hoses needed are 53032993AF and 53013886AB. Besides that I feel like all you need is a new pcv valve, and a vacuum cap to put on the old valve? I watched a video, I'll see if I can find it.

    Pcv fix part (68044350AA)

04? It's an 06. I did find the parts on Amazon and ebay (I had to watch a video before I really knew what I was looking for).

    Pcv fix part (68044350AA)

Okay so there is one store claiming to have the mopar one but something about https://ysbsqa-factorymoparparts-51.stores.yahoo.net/68044350aa.html sounds fishy

    Pcv fix part (68044350AA)

I'm wanting to do the pcv upgrade before using my kj to get to and from the pass all winter, but the only places I can find the kit are mitsubishi sites. This may sound stupid, because I know they used the same engine, but is the mitsubishi kit the same? Is there a site out there with a mopar...

    P0356 and P0306 codes

Yeah, not worth the work to get the melted coil out if I can't keep the next one from meeting the same fate. I paid 700 so I'll just cut my losses and take 500 from pick n pull. Im sure there's a bad ground somewhere but I cant find it.

    P0356 and P0306 codes

Well, both KJs are going to scrap. Went to check the spark plug (again) and the coil pack was completely melted into the head, only half of it came out.

    P0356 and P0306 codes

I should also mention that a couple of times the engine light started flashing after the car shook while trying to accelerate. The light flashes any time the p0306 comes on, but with only the p0356 code the light is just on.

    P0356 and P0306 codes

A very corroded ngk came out (had a bad reservoir above it, maybe I forgot to mention) and got replaced with whatever was in the totaled jeep, as well as the coil pack. I could swap it with another cylinder to check but I'm not too optimistic.

    P0356 and P0306 codes

Changed the 02 sensor and the pcm/ignition switch/skeem. Still getting p0356, I would have to drive it to see if the p0306 still pops up but I'm going to assume it's still there cause I don't want my engine light to flash at me. I have a new cam sensor and crank sensor getting delivered today in...

    P0356 and P0306 codes

Changed camshaft and crankshaft position sensor and no change. Both were donors from the totaled jeep and weren't pretty so I may try new ones, but the totaled jeep wasn't throwing any codes.
