OME lift kit - which control arms needed?

The JBA front upper control arms you linked to above will be all you need in the front. These front upper control arms are referred to as "A" arms. You should not need to replace the front lower control arms to accommodate a lift. If you do need front lower control arms for some reason, I...

OME lift kit - which control arms needed?

OP, as Pt420 suggested, see if you can get new rear lower control arms for free though the recall. If you can't get them that way, I have a like new set of mopar rear lca's I'd sell you cheap.

    Oil Drain Plug

My CRD had one of those expanding drain plugs in it when I bought it. The top part that you can't see is like the hinged part of a toggle bolt. Reach up there with a hook of some kind and you'll be able to pull it right out. In my case there were just enough threads left in the pan to install...

    Wheel Adapter Needed?

I ran high quality 1.25 inch thick spidertrax wheel adapters on an 05 KJ with 5x5 wrangler rims. Had a 30.5 inch tire - 245/75/16 and a 1.5 inch lift. Torqued the inner lugs to 90 ftlbs and outers to 80 ftlbs and did not use the red loctite provided. Checked torque every 6k when I rotated...

    JBA A-Arm rebuild

The drivers side is definitely a challenge. IIRC it was difficult to get at one of the two bolts on that side because of the steering linkage. Like was mentioned above - extensions and wobble adapters will get the job done. After 15 midwest winters, the bolt in the bad location on mine had...

    07 Clevis Woe

I actually have both. Was talking about the fronts above. The rears I have are mopar in like new condition. I'd post all my suspension stuff in the for sale section, but apparently my account still doesn't have permission...

    07 Clevis Woe

I have a set of cast iron KK clevises to sell. Good condition - they have been bead blasted and painted. 3/8 longer than KJ stock if I remember right. Also have a pair of aftermarket LCAs with only 500 miles on them with good bushings. Lmk if you are interested.

    Miss It Already

Yes, there is a style of stock KJ wheels that looks similar. I've even seen them in black, but not sure if they were painted. The JK wheels were definitely more plentiful around here used with decent tires on them. Many of the circa 2015 JKs had 245/75/r16s which is about right for a KJ with...

    Miss It Already

16" steels off of a JK. Back when I got my KJ they were a dime a dozen used from guys pimping out their wranglers. I had three matching sets of them at one point. Cheap way to replace tires. Anyway, had to do wheel adapters for the bolt pattern. Went with Spidertrax and had no problems.

    Miss It Already

They are Reese brand. 48". I bought them used only a few months before I sold the jeep. Cross bars themselves were solid. Only thing to be desired was the clamps that held them to the oem rails weren't exactly the right shape and weren't super secure.

    Miss It Already

Long time lurker on this forum. I had my KJ CRD for a few years and really enjoyed it. All good things come to an end though, and I sold it a few weeks ago. I have some extra suspension parts I want to post in the for sale section, but I assume I can't do that until I've made at least one...
