    Well was able to change out the ignition switch, with out too much trouble. Had no issues with starting all day. So looks like this problem is solved thanks for the suggestions. Gibby update: no its doing it again the quest for answers continues...........

    Thanks for the reply. I like your suggestions i had thought maybe bendix not returning. I think i will try to source a ignition switch and change that out first. The thought of the actuator pin not being able to return makes a lot of sense to me I don't think the pin itself is broke as it...

    Needing some mechanical help. On vacation away from my shop and scan tool but have basic tools with me. 2010 Liberty 3.7 4x4 when ignition key is turned jeep fires up but runs like some one has it by the throat, miss fires, rattles and farts. Turn key off and retry and it fires up and runs...
