    High idle until stop.

It was the IAC. Very dirty and had some debris inside of it. Swapped with the IAC from the 05 donor. Easy peasy. Thanks for the advice.

Yeah, I can monitor the temp but it might take a few days. I'm not in a position to buy a scanner at the moment, but a friend has one that I can borrow. In the meantime, I'll check the IAC and maybe just swap temp sensors if I can get them out.

    High idle until stop.

Whoops. Forgot to mention the year. Yep, it's a 2004. Ok. Thanks for the advice. I'll see if the IAC from the 05 is a match and do a swap if it is. Being that it only does it until the engine gets to temp, and runs fine otherwie, I was hoping to rule out a leak.

You might as well pull up the carpet and check for surface rust on the floor pans while your at it. Both my 04 and 05 had issues with that.

    High idle until stop.

Thanks! I actually like them better than the XJ I had.

    Sport or Renegade?

It's a Sport, as I suspected. The lights are not factory, which is apparent now that I followed the wiring this afternoon. Instead of going through the wire cluster, they popped out the panel and went around it. Breezy! Thanks again.

    Sport or Renegade?

I recently bought a 2004 KJ with a rebuilt title due to the engine being replaced and an odometer reset. The title doesn't specify the trim package and the stuff I've read online has only been marginally helpful. It's a 2004 3.7 with a 5 speed manual. The light bar appears to be factory, or...

    Third time's a charm?

Hi everyone. 3-time KJ owner here. First was an 02 (big mistake), an 05 rust bucket and now a tidy little 04 with a lift and lights. I've been landing on this forum for years when diagnosing issues with the first two, and now that I've got a nice KJ that I will be doing most of my own...
