Throwing code P2311
I replaced the spark plugs and coil with no luck. Used a spark tester and nothing. I swapped coils with a working one and the same code. Wondering if there is anything else I could check. Ran fine not to long ago as well.
I'm going to try replacing the actuators since they are easy to get to. If it comes down to it I guess I'll have to take the dash apart which I'm not looking forward to....
I'll take a look at the actuators and see if they are moving. I believe the hot and cold one might possibly not be moving very well as when you change from hot to cold or the other way around it makes some popping sounds as like it's getting stuck on something possibly.
It is reaching operation temperature when it's cold out.
As for the water pump maybe I'll look into seeing if there's anything wrong with it.
I do have a thermostat on hand so I might go ahead and replace it.
Just wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas as the shop seems to be blaming it on...
So this has been on on going issue I've been trying to tackle.
Just some background.
- Heater core has been flushed and they said there is no blockage.
- They deem the thermostat doesn't have to be changed as it gets to operation temperature.
- I've been over heating for a bit found out...
Replaced the plugs in it. Started up just fine...Misfire in cylinder 5. Checked the wrong cylinder apparently, looked a bit harder. I forgot to plug the damn coil in.
Plugged it in, cleared the codes, and test drove. I went for a good hour drive or so to make sure everything was nice and hot...
Checked and it says 4291 ZFR6F-11.
Now when I search Napa I get nothing. Canadain Tire tells me nothing on the plug that comes up besides that it doesn't fit.
Napa does have the V-power plugs. I'll check the plugs tomorrow if I have time. It's strange how when cold it startup just fine but at operating temp is causing issues.
Checked CanadiaChecked Canadian tire and it seems like they don't have copper plugs that fit.
- Platinum
- Iridium
- Ruthenium
- And whatever the E3 plugs are made of.
This issue happened last year during the winter It would happen once, turn it off then back on good as gold. Now it's doing it multiple times and I gave to wait and let it cool down a bit then start it up and all good.
I have bosch iridium plug currently in it.
I've noticed now when I get to operating temperature and turn off the engine then turn it back on after a few minutes to where it hasn't cooled down at all it will start super rough.
It will have RPM's and what not but almost seem like it's not fully started and something is stuck it will also...
The issue is resolved. They have to factory reset my TCM due to the line pressure being to high and the sensor not communicating with the TCM. This has resolved the issue with my limp mode. Able to cycle through all 4 gears with no issues at all.
I knew they were a tad loud, a friend has one on his Mazda B3000 which is why I though about it.
There about $50 at Canadian tire which is local to me. They also have a turbo one as well for a few dollars less. I must have not seen it before.
I've heard the Mangnaflow rumble ones and I'm not...
I know I'm going to get some heat from this question but what does everyone have for an after market muffler. I don't want to spend hundreds I'm looking more for the $50.
Currently it sounds like rocks in a coffee can at the current time and I'm getting tired of it haha.
I was looking into...
