    LS swap

He’s on here I think. We’ve messaged back and forth a few times on messenger. He recently messaged me asking how mine was going. He had some issues with his, but sorted most of them out I believe.

    LS swap

Haven’t been on here in a long time. I had to take a break from the Jeep due to another car project taking priority. The Jeep project came up in the middle of something else. Tried to do as much as I could till I had to stop. Funds or knowledge had nothing to do with it. I’m fully capable as I’m...

    02 3.7 with 45rfe trans and t-case

I have an 02 3.7 complete with harness and accessories and 45rfe trans and t-case. It has 148k on it and ran when pulled. Vehicle was wrecked in the front, but vehicle still drove. I am engine swapping and have no use for it. $400. If I don’t sell in 2 weeks, I am scrapping it or donate to...

    LS swap

The ls fits very nicely in the engine bay. The ls is much more narrow, but pretty close to the same depth as the 3.7(rear of block to front of accessory drive). The lower hose may work with some repositioning and trimming. Working on wiring now.

    LS swap

I figured I would post a few more pics of the LS swap. I had my truck pan and pick up tube modified to take 2 in off the sump, drops capacity to 5 qts. I also got the t-case clocking adapter. I want to note that the engine clears the front diff when using an 06 and earlier truck pan. I don't...

    LS swap

Just cleaning some surface rust from underneath, I have everything gutted underneath. I am doing the entire underneath along with everything behind the plastics and wheel liners in herculiner or por 15.

    LS swap

Already planned on replacing those. Would love to find a universal urethane that would fit since none are made for these. Lots of things getting addressed while this thing is torn apart. Not much needing done, but little things here and there.

    LS swap

I was looking into the hooker cast manifold. They have a 2 bolt flange which I think would work better. Would love to put a set of longtube headers in there but need to research. I think a header for the trucks might work.

Here are few. I have more on another device.

    LS swap

So it's been a while since I have been on here. New baby, home projects and finishing up another car project had kept from getting to the jeep. This week I got it in the barn and starting stripping it down. I test fitted the LS engine yesterday and it fits. The truck pan clears the front diff. I...

    LS swap

Not doing that. Not putting money into the LS to make it fit unless it involves only swapping to a different pan. Only reason I am attempting this is because I I have the complete powertrain and all the accessories. If I had to buy all this shit for the swap, it wouldn't happen. Only reason I...

    LS swap

Yes, the LS is very compact. It was about 7 in more narrrow at the outside edge of valve covers (widest point due to v-type engine) than the 3.7. Best I could measure is that the engine with accessories is about 1 in deeper. The height from the bottom of the front of the pan to the top of the...

    LS swap

Yup! I guess many people think that everyone quits on a project once started. I am the type that finishes what I start, but also will not start something that is too involved. By involved, I mean massive fabrication. I am not cutting shit up to make it fit. If I can't get it to fit by...

    LS swap

At this point I am only going to attempt to test fit and see what happens then. I don't get on here much, so i can promise I will disappear for a while. If I do decide to move forward, I can assure you there won't be constant updates. If it doesn't fit due to interference, I will post pics of...

    LS swap

No more long responses. Did some measruring and inspection yesterday. The LS is much more narrow than the 3.7. Other dimensions were very close. After looking everything over with some buddies, we came to the conclusion that the bottom of the LS truck oil pan will hit the steering rack before...

    LS swap

Believe me, I know I don't have it figured out. As far as the GM tech goes, I said if it fits I can make it run. I never said I knew it all, only hat I could make it run. Making an LS run stand alone is easy. Making everything else work along with it is the hard part. I know this. I know it's...

    LS swap

I'm not getting into sfa and all that. I was wondering about the fitmment and keeping 4wd. I think the one that was swapped is the same one we are both thinking about and I think it was 2wd. The engine looked like it sat low in the bay. I might test fitment once I get the motor out of one. I am...

    LS swap

Has anyone ever considered it or done it for that matter? The only thing I can find on the net is some article on bangshift about a red Liberty with a 5.3 swap. The article didn't give details, but I assume they fabricated their own mounts since I haven't found anyone making them. Maybe someone...

    OME lifts

Well the alignment didn't go so well. Front left eccentric bolt is seized in the bushing sleeve. Tried for over an hour to get it broken loose but a no go. I could still get the camber within spec on the left side though, but the right wouldn't go past -.4. Have very little adjustability on the...
