    Hiya! from Scotland

We've plenty time, mate. I've been a few times by bike, and had to endure the temps while dressed in full leather. Thankfully, the garage across the road from the office does a full aircon service, so they'll take care of it for me in due course. There'll be LOADS of pictures, if you're on...

Guys, I'm working away just now so can't get under the hood of my KJ for a looksee. Is there a "How To" for changing that front crankshaft seal? I've had a look, but can't find anything. I'm hoping one of you knowledgeable folks would be able to fast track me ;-) TIA

My wife has been using it as her daily driver, so it is getting a good bit of use. And, I managed to get next Sunday off, so I hope we can take her along to St Andrews and have a little lunch. A wee update on the oil leak, looks like it's NOT the oil pan. It's that front crank seal. I'll need...

WooHoo! I've got a 4wd Jeep :D The replacement front DS fitted perfectly. And the snow has been falling this morning, just in the nick of time. Next up, wire up all the extra lights.

Nope, not at all - the lights were just laying there, it seemed a shame. They practically leapt onto the car all by themselves

On my singular day off, this week, I got our KJ into the workshop and put the roof rack on. I'd also managed to "liberate" some old spot lights from the stores at work and bolted them on as well. Delighted to say, it doesn't rattle :party52: Should easily get our tent and some other...

Thanks for that :) I spoke with the shop that supplied the D/S, and a longer one is on the way. Fingers crossed for Monday delivery.

Since I'm away with work just now, I'd gotten a friend to have a go at fitting that new front propshaft I got. Turns out the new one looks like it's about 2" shorter than the original - I'm away so can't check myself - would any of you kind souls know the right length so I can chin our parts...

Thanks, mate, I'm certainly looking forward to it. Can't help but feel a little cautious, for sure, but I'm sure by the end of June I'll have worked through all the niggles.

Prof, Those are really neat clamps for keep your cross bars on the centre line of the OEM roof bars. My cross bars sit on top of the OEM roof bars, but it's only 1" box section. It's not going to have jets flying underneath, but just a little higher than yours. I won't be doing much more to...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I got to drive mine, finally, around a little bit today :D And, I finished fabricating the roof rack.

Well, a couple of hours in the shop tonight finished the roof rack. I'm off to do some project management, and working long days for the next 3 weeks. Hopefully I can arrange the powder coat guy to come and collect. Anyone tried some of these colourised galvanising options? Added a CB...

With the amount of gear that we're taking on this trip, I don't think having it slimline is going to make much difference to the amount of wind it catches.

Going to try and get nylocs on them, or loctite, just to remove any concerns over it coming loose.

It gets "U" bolted to the existing roof bars. I've seen others, on here, mounted that way, so figured that'd be good for me.

Made good progress with the roof rack today. Just a couple of extra bits to add before I send it off for blasting and powder coat. Some holes to drill for some extra spots, and another to mount an aerial. When I was changing the plugs the other day, I concluded that one of the previous...

From what I can see, there's one small tear on the base of the front passenger seat. The rest of it looks pretty good, I reckon
