The new PCV Valve goes into the back of the drivers side cylinder head. There is a hose nipple currently in that location, which the crankcase breather hose uses

    04-05 recall

Salt is pretty tough on suspension components like the stamped steel control arms. I own a 2004 Liberty and it is in the recall list. I also work for Chrysler LLC Mopar division and will get to handle the recall parts first hand. The control arms in the front of the Liberty and most trucks are...

Yellow oil sludge on oil cap

The freezing issue caused a pressure build up in my engine and a leak from the front crankshaft seal. Since the seal had been replaced 20,000 miles ago, a retired Chrysler tech told me to do the PCV update before having the seal replaced. That was 4000 miles ago and no leakage since

Milk in very top of oil tube and condensation on oil cap

Didnt mean to insult your climate, I am sure your plenty cold there. Maybe its more based on eliminating short trips, than temperature. When ours was traveling 40 miles a day, we had no build up. Now being it is used on shorter trips and winter weather is here, the build up started. I then...

Milk in very top of oil tube and condensation on oil cap

Yes, moves the PCV valve to the drivers side cylinder head, gives it a larger valve opening for more flow, and eliminates the lengthy series of tubes. This will keep any condensation in the system from freezing and blocking a passage in the tube, which will build too much crankcase pressure.

    Proud of the Ol' Girl

I agree my family and I have towed a 18ft Starcraft 18RB hybrid camper for the last few years and havent had any troubles. I think the camper weighs in at 2400lbs, and we use a load leveling hitch.

Yellow oil sludge on oil cap

Well my advice is this keep an eye on it, if you suddenly develop a front seal leak then I would look at this update before replacing the crankshaft seal at 300.00

Yellow oil sludge on oil cap

I am just giving advice, I have sent out a lot of front crank seals to dealers in the upper midwest and probably half of these 3.7/4.7 litre engines didnt need this and will have the issue again without this being done. It is related to short trips and extremely cold weather not the 20s, I am...
