    Front Driveshaft ?'s

That's what I'm afraid of with the vibration thing. A properly made/balanced driveshaft shouldn't vibrate, and Jeep has switched to a u-joint style shaft for new Liberty's (But then again, I suppose a properly made shaft wouldn't tear the boot and disintegrate like they do from the factory...

    Front Driveshaft ?'s

Thanks for all the info. Eric and I have been emailing back and forth, but last he said, he didn't have any of the CV heads in stock, but more were on the way. Still pondering the situation. Might replace the CV just to get the Libby back into 4x4, while I gather more info on U-joint...

    Farmington 2002 Liberty

Howdy! Heck yeah, Aztec is just over Crouch Mesa from my house...about 6-7 miles. My wife was raised here so she's been here 30 years or so. I just moved here in 2002. What the heck you doin' in New York?

    Farmington 2002 Liberty

Thanks for all the welcomes! W've got lots of photos of our off-road adventures, I'll just have to dig through and find some with the vehicles in 'em! I was looking through some photos and just remembered that I also have a 1974 or 1975 Jeep J Pickup parked on our backcountry place...but...

    Front Driveshaft ?'s

I see several aftermarket u-joint driveshafts available. To be honest, I'm less interested in noise and vibration than I am in durability, cost of repair, and parts availability. We've got some pretty serious off-pavement tires on the Liberty and that blows noise and vibration out the window...

    Farmington 2002 Liberty

Howdy from Farmington, New Mexico. I've been 4x4's since the 1980's. My first 4x4 was a 1967 Jeep Wagoneer. Since then, I've owned a 1977 Jeep CJ7, and several 1960's models International Scouts. Currently, my wife and I own a 1966 Jeep Wagoneer, a 1969 Jeep Wagoneer, a 2000 Jeep...

    Front Driveshaft ?'s

I might be new to this forum, but I'm not new to Jeeps or 4x4. My wife has had a 2002 Liberty for 6 years now, and compared to the Wrangler I've owned for 10 years, or the Wagoneers I've owned for 15, or the Scouts before that, the Liberty is by far the most trouble prone vehicle, let alone...

    Upgrading the front Drive Shaft...

I am curious why you think this is the wrong type of driveshaft? I'm not trying to be snide, I really am curious because I've been running our 2002 Liberty with no front driveshaft for several months and don't want to replace it with another weak factory part, so I'm looking at options. The...
