The guys on here are only talking about the '05-'06 2.8 163hp CRD.
The 2.5 was never sold in the US.
The 2005+ is less reliable then the 2002-2004 models imo. After 2005 a crapload of electronics was added, with that an electrical EGR and a FCV.
You cannot say CRD troubles from US...
Looks like it's been cared for by the PO, even has a yellowtop battery besides the mods already mentioned by Retmil46. I'd buy it!
It will need a new T-belt at 200k like Jobo says, take that into account. Pricy...
The internal plastic crap gears in your FCV (Flow Control Valve) are broken.
It now stays open all the time. You can disconnect it but then the CEL light in the dash ( engine trouble light) will come on.
You can either ignore it, or replace the FCV....
What does this FCV do:
It closes...
