thanks tj, now I have more questions
So it's impossible to just do one, I don't understand why? I have to replace both? That really sux as the top one doesn't look very easy to get a wrench on. Now I have a new problem, Napa doesn't carry it and they said no other parts stores will, and...
Just got done searching through 13 pages of "how to" threads to see if anyone has replaced the transmission cooler lines. I might of missed it so if there is one please help me find it. The one I need to replace is the lower of the two where they are connected to the trans. and then goes into...
Here is a cheap idea. You could add a rear spacer lift/extra iso's/longer shocks and put 245/75's on in the back since its 2wd. You could not rotate tires front to back, though. Add a clevis to the front to help level it.
No I'm just kidding, but how sick would that look!! Raked with big...
I know this an old post, but you are absolutely right. The only way to lift the front end without over compressing the spring is to add shims/spacers on top or a clevis lift/longer clevis to the bottom of the strut. Effectively making the strut longer. This is the case with stock springs or...
driving lights
Thanks for all the feed back guys. Actually the light is simulated HID white light, the light that comes out is not blue. They are whiter than the jeeps headlights. On thing I've noticed is they get quite hot, not to keen on that as they are mounted to plastic. I was using...
I just installed some auxiliary lights front and back. I found some that fit in the factory fog light mounting points. The mopar ones are about $150, I found this pair at napa for $50. They are Navigator NV-602W in the front. The back one is a navigator also, don't remember the model, they...
I would love to have one for my kj but it looks like a unibrow. It looks good on a kk though. I found one from AVS for a 2011 kk on steetsideauto.com, it says no drilling needed and its $50.00 with free shipping. Hope this helps :)

The a/c cycles on and off even if you haven't turned it on, if the selector knob is on 1)feet, 2)defrost, and 3)feet and defrost setting, no matter what temperature is set. Maybe this is the sound you speak of? Just a thought. You might already know that.
If it is in good condition, seems like a good buy. Gotta love that solid front axle and V8.

No kidding, I have gone over 50 miles with the fuel light on, haven't ran out yet.
I would never do this intentionally, but it has happened.
Anyone ever notice how much longer the first half of the tank lasts, compared to the last half? I think it's a glass half empty sort of thing.
If you want to get more range out of a tank of gas try finding a gas pump where the front end of the jeep is facing down hill when filling. I guess this allows more gas to fit in the tank when its tilted because of its design. I routinely go over 300, almost 400 miles between fill ups fitting...
So you say 19 inches is stock height and my stock springs sagged an inch and a half which would bring it down to 17.5 inches. A half inch clevis lift gave me two inches of lift, amazing. Or maybe the springs sagged a half inch to 18.5 and the half inch clevis lift brought it up a inch to 19.5...
Stock height seems to be between 17.5 and 18.5 and I'm an inch or two above that. When I park next to a stock liberty I can really notice a difference, especially with the new tires being around a half inch taller.
