    Transfer case oil

I found this while searching for t-case info. I have the 231 and was wondering if the above still applies. Also, in reference to using 5w-30, what is a "hot climate?"

Window repair warranty extended for 06 & 07 KJs!

Just had the right rear regulator break. I don't want to deal with fighting the dealer, or paying the "co-pay", so I ordered Steiger's kit. $100 for the parts, and $3 for first class shipping.

What me...and my KJs have been up to lately.

Hey man, sorry to read about the health stuff. Hope all stays well and you can devote more time and energy to working on the Jeeps!

How do I replace a wheel stud

Holy crap, that was so easy. I had a couple of flat chevy lug nuts laying around, so I put them on and hit the wheel studs out with a 5lb hammer. I had to use a steel spare tire to help pull the new studs through because on the new studs, the collar poked through (see pic). If I just used the...

    Goodyear Assurance wiper blades

Our local Costco started carrying these a little over a year ago. Im real picky about wiper blades and I hate any streaks. At only $8 each (once they went on sale as buy 1 get 1 free - I stocked up), I figured why not? Ive seen similar styles at local parts stores for like $20 each. So, I...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Hansen - rotor wear can be seen with the wheels on, but pad wear can't. Besides, doesn't a "full inspection" usually include tire rotation? That seems like a boatload of $$$ for changing fluids. took off the front pass tire to investigate sheared wheel studs. Looks like I can get by with just...

How do I replace a wheel stud

This is for the front passenger's side hub. I have searched and it looks like the studs can be hammered/pressed out the backside of the flange. I looked around and the backside of the flange looks really tight. I mean, there is almost no room between the flange and the hub body. Getting broken...

Been awhile...need general info for suspension

NOT trying to hyjack the thread.... I really don't have anything else but the Bronco to compare the Liberty to. Compared to the Bronco, the Liberty rides 100% better and is 100% stock. That being said, the Bronco is more or less built on a truck frame, and it rides like a truck.

Been awhile...need general info for suspension

Chrysler spent lots and lots of money on R&D for our Jeeps. They didn't just throw some springs and shocks under the Liberty and hope for the best. Especially with this being your wife's every day ride, remember that the firmer springs you put in, the harsher the ride will be. I drive a Bronco...

    PCV vavle hose filter?

Luckily, I have had no problems with the Liberty lately. I just finished changing the oil, filter and air filter. While changing the air filter I noticed a little sponge-type filter in the air box. It's oily, and I think it's time to change it. The problem is, I don't know what its called. I...
