Problem with pumping gas?
$3.33 off base, $3.32 per gal US on base at JBR, but that is still better than $1.09 per liter. In the bush it goes well over $4 per gallon. (all reference 87 octane)- al7fi

What ya think?
If you use the autostick function and keep it in the power band, the little 4 banger is very responsive, and winds up like a bandit. Using pure auto mode, it took some getting used to, but one bup of the stick and you can go up or down and really enjoy the ride.- al7fi

Rented one (Patriot) in Philly while I was back east and put over 3700 miles on it from NE Maine to central Florida. I much prefer my 03 Liberty but, it is not a bad rig. The 4 cyl ran well getting over 31mg with almost all highway driving. The Autostick option on the CVT was a lot of fun...- al7fi

FWIW 03 Limited with off road package (TracLock) and towing package (4.10gears) and 45 RFE. Just turned 120K and it all works! Suspect it depends on how they have been kept up AND how they have they have been used/abused. (Still have original battery also and thus far no sign of dying...- al7fi

the KJ doesn't get much cover in JP
JP is primarily a SFA mag. FSJs and SWB Jeeps and old military stuff. Have a stack of them in the closet from back when I was driving a 74 FSJ Cherokee and later on an 84 XJ. After the Liberty came out in 02 is when the subscription went in the outhouse!- al7fi

My 03 LE was the only one Lithia had with the offfroad package. Course it also had everything Jeep offered, with the exception of the 5 disc changer mounted in the right rear. Quite true! We see it up here all the time, and we do NOT have ethanol in our fuel. The change can be as much as 2-3 mpg. Most folk would not notice it but having an evic makes it much more noticeable. Have found that using the block heater seems to help in getting it up to operating temp and...- al7fi

HOW TO: Install an auto dimming rear view mirror
On my 03 LE, the drivers side external mirror does dim when the system is turned on. Since I have factory tint, the dimming on the inside mirror makes it too dark. Mine is turned off normally. Plus at this time of the year with 19+ hours of daylight it is not an issue. -
