KJ/KK in AK?
Welcome to the Greatland!. No clue about Juneau. State capitol but we can't drive there. No rides in or out. Fly or go by state ferry system. Up here since 83 and not made it down to SE yet. But I been to Chicken, AK multiple times. In the winter too! -
2014 Cherokee Review
Thanks for the info. I am 6'3" and 300 but inseam is like 32. Sounds like there is hope . Still no 2014 Cherokees of any model in AK that I can tell. And the wait goes on. Lows have been -10 down here and highs about 0. Fairbanks is like -30 and -10. All in degrees F!- al7fi

I like the way they look, but have to see how I fit in it. If the leg room is there its a deal maker! But I think there is one in my future, Closest dealer said they would order what I wanted. Folks at Lithia won't even talk ordering for you. True Blue works for me.- al7fi

Daytime Running Lights?
I pulled the the rear light fixture to do some checking. Seems the lighting lenses for non EU etc vehicles are different form the US and Canada ones. There is no place to put in the higher wattage bulb, and I could not find a pigtail to power it either. Based on the original posters...- al7fi

Daytime Running Lights?
No problem. Be aware that there seems to be some differences in later model years. My 03 had places for a high beam relay and a DRL relay. I think later years only have one spot and all you do is swap relays. Mine still work as advertised and the plus is that I have not burnt out a low...- al7fi

Did not last long. $3.84 on a fill up this afternoon! FWIW, AK has one of if not the lowest state gas taxes at $0.06/gallon! And yes ours is all refined up here!- al7fi

CB Radios Obsolete?
Ry, get your selves a license with low band HF privileges. US would be General or higher - not sure what Canada calls theirs. We talk to VE7s all the time with 100 watts on 75 meters. Or come on up to the Yukon (VY1). The gang in Whitehorse has a linked setup on VHF up and down the highway...- al7fi

Ignition switch?
Dtrl Daytime Running Lights turn on the high beams at a reduced voltage. It takes a different relay than the high beam (got mine from RockAuto) and unless you live in a country that requires them, you need to get the country code changed (mine was changed from US to Canada).
