Will 15x8 Cragar soft 8s fit?

A good deal may be waiting for me if these wheels will fit: Cragar soft 8, 15"x8", 5x4.5 bolt pattern, 4" back space... So will they fit?

    ?Front wheel drive KJ?

    They must have changed it for the 2003+ models. When I did my T-case swap, I had my 231, a 242 from a 2004 WJ, a 2003 KJ 242, & a 2004 KJ 242 & they were all sealed cases. Maybe that was another difference between the pre-lowered & lowered 2002s? I don't know.

    ?Front wheel drive KJ?

I was the one who NEEDED to do this. I only went about 25 miles. It caused zero problems, but I'd not suggest doing it for more than an emergency proceedure. The T-cases on the Liberty, both the 231 & the 242 are sealed, so no leaking will occur from the slip yoke. It also doesn't matter if...

    Swampthing's kj...

The best way to get it done is to just buy new axles with the mod already complete from JBA.

My JE Reels had the retaining clip notch machined in the cup, but did not come with clips. I had to scavenge the clips from my OE axles & put them in.

anybody got a JBA 6in lift?

I have the 4" kit, & installed it myself. I'm pretty satisfied with it, sadly I haven't taken it off road yet. Considering the limitations Troy mentioned, & that you can get the kit & JE Reel axles & Skid Row Plates & RL rock rails for about half the price... well, it may be a better fit:cool:

Cooling fan With or W/O tow question

I'm piecing it together from a salvage yard. My OE fan quit last winter, & I was feeling pretty broke, so I removed it & got the engine driven mechanical fan only. That was enough to keep the engine cool, but my wife took the KJ down to Kansas earlier in July, & it was not enough to keep the...

Cooling fan With or W/O tow question

I need to check if I'm correct here.kopkrab.gif My question is about the cooling fan set up. Looking in the parts manual, it appears that the base electric fan/shroud assembly is the same whether the KJ has the tow package or not. but if the tow package is installed, then they stack a second...

    Rusty's or JBA??

AHHH! Right you are! I saw "JBA" and assumed that we were talking about the 4" or 6" kits. After all my research before getting my kit, if I were going with the standard 2.5" lift, I'd do as Tommudd says- OME with the long shocks.

    Rusty's or JBA??

The JBA one is fine! Sorry I'm late to this party. I've been out of town learning to fly that 500 MPH off-road vehicle since April & have not been using the KJ, so I haven't been here much. In all honesty, I have not had a chance to wheel it yet. I was hoping to take it to Denver in April &...

    Check your spark plugs

Theoretically, platinums should last about 60K or so... but if it were me, with my experience with KJ spark plugs, I'd inspect them every 30K & put on some fresh anti-seize.

Oh man! I'm getting tired of this!

Yeah, but other than that freak occurrence, typically you don't have to change a regulator. A Fuel Filter should be changed every 30,000 miles... especially this one. I can tell the story about the '96 Neon I had that developed a crack at the proprietary plastic couplings that connect the...

Oh man! I'm getting tired of this!

Cuz, it's broken. I love smelling like gasoline for a week & a half too, but I take care of that in other ways.:)

Oh man! I'm getting tired of this!

Well, when my BMW takes 2 Mahle fuel filters, both the size of 40 oz beer cans & have some substantial weight to them because there is a decent amount of filter medium inside them, & I can buy them for $14.00 a piece, & the hardest thing about changing them is jacking up the car... Like I...

Oh man! I'm getting tired of this!

Here's the "discription" form the Mopar 2003 service manual (p.14-6): "The fuel pressure regulator & fuel filter are not combined on this vehicle." On Page 14-13, there is a description of the Fuel pressure regulator: "The fuel pressure regulator is located on the bottom of the upper section of...

Oh man! I'm getting tired of this!

First, Working on my KJ is no longer fun, it's just work. Second, Mopar is really ticking me off. Changed the "Life-time" fuel filter. Total PITA. By the way, it's a small crappy filter... and it costs ~$100! Oh, & there seems to be a rumor that it has a built in fuel pressure regulator, which...

Can I go Front Wheel Drive?

Sorry, Ive been away from the internet this weekend. What covers my slip joint? A rubber tube/ boot with accordion type bellows just like in this photo: 2. How did it drive? Fine, all considering. Like I said, I drove it very gently. It was acting pretty normal, & at one point, I was at a light...
