Unless you're lifted, I don't think it will work for 2 reasons... 1) those bolts are long & tough to turn, you are going to want room to swing your wrench (unless you have an air ratchet, then ignore this one)...2) You are going to need room between the drive train & suspension to work the...- kjpilot

NE1 Have a JBA 4" lift with the Gen 4.5 UCAs?
Gen 4.5 is the newest on JBA's site. They do look like like they would solve my issue, & I think they we're designed after I gave Marlin my feedback on the kit, including my concern about the ball joint boot. but I want to be sure my issue will be solved if I throw another $300 at the thing.- kjpilot

NE1 Have a JBA 4" lift with the Gen 4.5 UCAs?
I have the 4" lift with older generation arms, & I'm looking for photos of the ball joint on the gen 4.5 arms at full droop. My older arms look like they pinch the boot a bit & I wonder if upgrading to the 4.5s will solve the problem.- kjpilot

How many SFA KJ's are There?

I don't have photos but here you go: 1) Remove the rear wheels, & jack up the rear so the axle hangs down as much as possible. 2) remove the bolts, 2 on each side, that secure the sway bar to the control arms. you'll probably need a breaker bar to get going. 3) Carefully pull the bar out...- kjpilot

Do I have 8" Or 9" wide wheels?
I have 4 15" Cragar Soft 8s. I don't remember how wide they are so I measured... they are 9" wide from outer rim to outer rim, but they are 8" from shoulder to shoulder (where the bead of the tire goes). If they are 8", are they too small for 11.5" wide tires?- kjpilot

Anyone else have this pop up? I lowered the pax side window, but when I went to raise it up, it came up, but the driver's side went down! I was only using the pax switch. So I went to raise the driver's side window, & while using only the driver's switch, Driver's window went up, & pax window...- kjpilot

I do see that they are now charging $550 a piece for the modified JE Reel axles now. I'm not sure they are worth that. I paid significantly less for mine 2 years ago, & at that price I've been totally satisfied with the Reel axles.- kjpilot

Troy, it tore around the axle shaft clamp ring, not the cup. the tear was about 4" away from the cup, as far away from the cup as you can get, but still be on the boot. If it was from anything other than wear & tear, it was probably the the edge of the clamp cutting into the boot after I clamped...- kjpilot

NO, NO, NO! That was not my problem! My boot tore along the clamp on the axle. It held in place on the cup end, & made a big greasy mess on the axle side. The machining on mine is different than on the ones Troy posted. mine actually has a lip & they hold perfectly. I had Marlin machine mine...- kjpilot

The boot blew out, so I removed it & cleaned out the grease to see how well this all fit together. There is 2.4mm of clearance between the axle & the cup. The joint itself is shoved deep in the cup. & I think that is the only "bad" deal going on with the 4" lift. When installing the clevis to...- kjpilot
