    Welp, I'm done!

I already do miss it, to a point. But it's all part of my SFA conversion!\\:D/

    Welp, I'm done!

Sold the KJ today to a very happy college student, who couldn't get the smile off his face, which is a nice reward for all the work I've put in to it. I think he'll be happy with his purchase. I gave him the URL to this site & to LOST, so you'll probably be seeing my old KJ around here still...

    okay is this normal

It's not normal, & is probably causing MPG issues.

Would you want an aftermarket rear bumper WITHOUT a heavy tire carrier?

Well, I'd like to see the wheel carrier as an option. Don't make the bumper fit the stock spare location, but also do allow us to decide if we want the carrier. My wheels have 4" backspace, so i might not need it. Even if it didn't fit, $400 could get me a nice roof rack to put my spare in... or...

Looking to buy a Liberty - need your advice

I have a 2003, & honestly it's been the most trouble free vehicle I've owned in my 23 years of driving. You want to consider mine? It's perfect for what you want to do. It's been inspected by the Jeep dealer & all it has is a power steering hose leak & a rear pinion seal leak. Brand new 32"...

    Ohh how I dislike life..

The insurance companies that I had to work with, thankfully not many, used wholesale value. It probably varies from company to company, but 70%-75% of blue book will put you right about at wholesale value anyway. But I agree, this damage won't total it.

    Ohh how I dislike life..

Wholesale value is typically between 1/2 to 3/4 of blue value book.

    Ohh how I dislike life..

The insurance company will take into consideration the wholesale value of the car, then if the repair is more than a certain percentage of that wholesale value, then they total it. So a 2004 KJ with $3000 worth of damage could be getting close to being totaled.

For those who've grenaded their front diff...

That's about the size of 31"s. Thanks!

For those who've grenaded their front diff...

What size tires were you running? I just got 32x11.5-15, & I'm starting to second guess myself. They work & look great, but I don't want to blow my diff. Maybe I should take them back for 31x10.5s?

If it is totaled, come talk to me... I might have your replacement! Now with new tires!

    JBA brake lines???? for real????

My JBA 4" kit came with extended lines for front & rear. Mine's a 2003, & there is no need to relocate the lines on it.

OK, Time to let the KJ go.

Looks like I'll be staying after all! When I woke up this morning, the bathroom fan was dripping water. So I climbed in the attic, & the whole roof & decking are shot, mold is everywhere, & the insulation is wet & moldy. So no money is available for a new build up, & if I put tires on this then...

Biggest thing I want to dump is the IFS! If I get another Jeep now, it will be a ZJ Grand Cherokee. I'd love an LJ but they're too expensive at this point.

OK, Time to let the KJ go.

I'm thinking I'll get a ZJ, or maybe a mid to late 90's Discovery. This board has been a great resource for me in my build, & I'll miss most of you! ;) You can see my listing in the for sale forum. http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43341
