Mount
I'm thinking some kind of mount, that mounts between the tow rear seats. There are anchor points at the front and rear of the seat, and it is close to the center of the vehicle (less body roll in the center).
Camera
That's pretty hardcore for trail runs. I'm sure it would be easy enough to fab something up, but I think not matter what you do, unless your camera has some kind of build in image stabilization, you're going to get a shaky picture.
Ratchet straps
There is no such thing as too tight with a ratcheting strap. I check mine whenever I stop, and retighten if necessary. Loads can shift, things heat up and expand in the sun, a number of things can happen.
Fluid changes
I had all my fluids changed at 51k. Basically the manuals 60k service. I was moving and I REALLY like my mechanic and wanted him to go over everything before I left. I just had him check the diff fluids and he said they'd be okay to 75k and we left them alone. The transmission...
Battery
Your battery not charging could also be a prolem with the alternator. I'd swap out the battery first, and if that didn't fix things, I'd have the alternator tested.
KJ
I'd have my tires rotated and balanced, and the alignment checked.
The tires could have developed a flat spot sitting in one place on the lot for who knows how long.
Here's the official how to check your ball joint thread:

Chimes
Washer fluid, fuel, seat belt, tire pressure sensors. But I don't suppose the 02's had TPMS. Maybe some kind of short making the headlight chime go off when the door isn't actually open?
Hey, I never thought of that. I park in the garage most nights anyway unless I've got some kind of project going in there. The wife drives a junker that no one in their right mind would steal, plus it leaks oil. So she's stuck outside. We're going to get her something nice in the fall, or she's...
Strange
My wife's Civic wouldn't start yesterday. I knew her battery was old, and just went ahead and replaced it. Even with the new battery in, I had absolutely no power. Turns out, the main battery fuse (80 amp) was fried. Ran to AutoZone, got a replacement, and its as good as new. Not sure...
Evic
I followed the tutorial when I installed mine. No homelink without the key. My mechanic saw that I had installed an EVIC and told me it should be connected to constant power. He switched it to the way its supposed to be and now homelink works with no key.
Noise
VERY common problem. One of my tabs had broken off of the interior panelling where it fits into the sheet metal around the window latch. I packed it with foam insulation and have no problems now.
Tires
Who the hell came out with low profile mud terrains? The first rock, hell the first curb at the mall, you hit will trash a wheel. I wonder if it comes with cross drilled brake lines.
V8
With gas prices the way they are, and EPA fleet efficiency demands, I seriously doubt it.
The only engine I'm looking forward to is the one Ford is coming out, a small diesel available in the F-150 for the first time ever. I may let the wife drive the KJ and I might get a truck.
The...
Nitro
The Nitro does have an optional 4.0L V6, which boasts 260hp as opposed to the 210hp of the 3.7L V6. The option is only available in the R/T package, which can easily be distinguished by the 20" wheels.
There is no V8 available for the Nitro.
Hho
Gasoline's power comes from the expansion when it is combusted and converted from a liquid to a gas. HHO is already a gas and will expand when heat is generated, but nothing like a phase change expansion.
Check out dry ice bombs on YouTube for a demonstration.
A solar powered hydrogenerator is a good option for producing hydrogen gas at low costs. And it creates the problem of where to store the highly explosive hydrogen gas. Metal hydrides are the storage solution. Hydrogen is stored in solid form and released when a little heat is applied. This gets...
Mythbusters & hydrogen
I love the show, but it's not scientific. Science looks for repeatability. Science trys to explain things so that anyone, anywhere, can repeat an experiment under the same conditions. Mythbusters is looking for the one exception than can prove a myth false. And one...
The nail in the HHO coffin.
So I got bored, I have insomnia, so I did a little homework on HHO.
The HHO theory:
An electric current is used to break the chemical bonds in water to separate the hydrogen and oxygen (electrolysis). That hydrogen is then combusted and the additional energy of...
