Yeah LJ = TJ unlimited They were only produced for '05 & '06 IIRC I don't think they were produced in '04- J-Thompson

Who here has run Toyo Tires Open Country M/T's?
Toyo's are HEAVY And the side walls are very hard or stiff Even at 12 psi under a JKU they were flexing way less Than my MT/R-K's at 15 psi under my lighter TJ And these were the C range 33's like my MT/R's Making them a poor choice for rocks- J-Thompson

New Gears for better Gas Mileage???
Um yeah a rebuild kit is a must Well let's say this it is really not worth the chance But if you have installed gears you should be able to make that call- J-Thompson

Now while I agree with you An LJ Rubicon is my "dream" I would trade my TJ as is with only 51k For the LJ Rubicon stock with 100k And I would throw in some cash Problem is most people with an LJ don't want a TJ- J-Thompson

Newbie question
Maybe I was to soft Your suspension is SHOT stock or not it 99.99% needs to be repaced unless within the past 15k miles it got new Factory coils and shocks Because the usual life of the factory suspension seems to be about 30-40k miles If the tires still have some life then you need to get...- J-Thompson

when messing with wires you have to disconnect negative port for battery? right?
Any DC circuit can be opened by disconnecting any part of the power supply Disconnecting either the positive or negative opens the circuit Or maybe I have been wrong for the past 15+ years of feild expenance as an instrument tech- J-Thompson

Why not do the Fox coil over like I suggested a while back? Went ahead and installed link extension
If you fear bending it why not Mount it all up weld the nut to the forward most pcs. weld up some gussets between the 2 this should help avoid bending By welding the nut you ensure that it can easily be removed- J-Thompson

Considering you stock suspension is shot 225/75 16's Replace your suspension if you want beefier tires 245/75's on OE wheels $600 or so for OME coils and shocks- J-Thompson

I love how your KJ gains weight to support your arguement You said a while back your KJ was 5500# Now it is 2000# over a 4300# Grand That puts you at 6300# I know what 6300# worth of truck is and I can tell you that the 3.7 will not pull that geared at 5.xx or not- J-Thompson

I stand corrected He has a 4.7 not 5.7 ,it is an '02 And the base curb weight is 4300# I know he is over 5700 because he had to get a new trailer due to axle and tire issues He had a trailer with dual 3500# axles His only issue was with the quadra drive t-case corrected with a 231 But I am...- J-Thompson

Terrible Mileage on 2012?
Fact of life Jeeps = poor mpg Get over it We have a 2012 Pathfinder Bigger across the board We average 18-20 mixed driving and under 5k on the clock Highway at or below 70 we get 24- J-Thompson
