Back window will not close
Second the kroil and X the WD40. That crap acts like glue when it dries. Happened to me in Utah. Salt and water will creep anyplace it can and that window latch has been a sticky guy twice in 16 years. Never replaced a switch. Had to open the gate wiring harness up once because it makes a bend...- Kawika

To rebuild / To not rebuild
Have you taken apart the head and looked at the valve gear? 3 mechanics told us that we needed a new motor as the bottom end had some problem(rod bearing) and almost bought a new rebuild for 6500$ and a buddy who works on big diesel buses came over and sure enough it was only the top end and one...- Kawika

2006 CRD improve MPG
Don't know if you still are looking for way to increase MPG, but here in the states i just cut out the muffler and gained 4 MPG and a deeper exhaust note. Actually sounds much better. Turbos act like muffler anyway and the turbo spins up faster.- Kawika

Transfer Case Position Switch
Mine is a 06 CRD and they are not easy because the switch is not where you can get to it easily like gasser. It is about 3 inched towards the rear and is a bear to do without the right tools. Especially after you take it out and replace with new one twice before solving the switch nub issue.- Kawika

Transfer Case Position Switch
Just replaced mine on my 06 CRD.You may find the problem is the actual nub that come in contact with trans case positioner wich is pushed down a little to much from use. We put a little spot of weld on NEW Pos sw. nub for it to make the connection. Your switch may not be bad,just not making...- Kawika
