If memory serves the lights use the negitive for the console I'd check to see if you're getting a good negitive off the plug in. Negitive should be pin 4 (Black & Light Green) according to my FSM, but my FSM is for an '03. Trace the connection back to the body ground.

I just checked the wiring diagrams for the factory speakers/radio and the only thing that all the speakers have in common is the head unit. Everything goes through different body juctions so it's not like you accidently kocked a juction loose and that's why the radio isn't working...
Do you have access to a refrigerient pressure guage? What is the high/low pressure of the system. Low side pressure should be between 20 and 30 PSI and high side should be between 150 and 250 PSI for this time of year. If the pressures are right, it could be too much oil in the refrigerient...
That's a good price, but if it's going to cost "extra" to make it work on a KJ, might as well fab on up. This way, incase of an accident you know that mounts are solid and the bumper won't come flying off.
