Stockton beach is very close to Newcastle indeed. It's just on the way head up to Port Stephen along Nelson bay road. When getting close to Port Stephen, there's round-about before with the sign Anna bay" and you turn right to Gan Gan road. The entry to Stockon beach is on your right hand side.- FoxChung

I went to Stockton last weekend and here're some photos. I dropped the tyre pressure to 18psi, is this low enough? Don't worry, the turtle above is not real, I just bring it to see the real ocean. haha...- FoxChung
