Ready to pull the lift trigger

Does the grade of bolt matter, and do I need any washers or a nut/washer combo? I just want to make sure I know what I am looking for when I go to the hardware store. Thanks!

Ready to pull the lift trigger

Almost have everything now! All the springs and the front shocks showed up today :D. The rear shocks are a separate shipment for some reason.

Ready to pull the lift trigger

At least they were cheap :). I could have purchased a 4 pack for $13, but the 12 pack was only $20. I can't find the how-to anywhere. All the links I find to it are broken. I may take some pics when I do it, and post a new version. What type of bolts do you use? Do I need to do anything to...

More repair parts! I opened the box, and the grease pouch has a tiny leak in it. Looks like it's mainly soaked into the box sides a bit.

Ready to pull the lift trigger

Trigger pulled! :D It's going to be a fair amount of work getting everything done, but I know it will be worth it. I think the hardest part will be replacing the non-lift related worn out parts. Now I just need to find some hockey pucks. The University here has a hockey team, so I may go ask...

Ready to pull the lift trigger

So if I leave off the clevis lift, I should be fine? What about the rear? A regear is in the future plans for sure. I am going to check local yards for a 4 cyl to get the parts from and go from there. I just want to make sure everything else is good first.

Ready to pull the lift trigger

Shouldn't the JBA UCAs take care of that? I haven't decided on tires yet. It seems that 245/75/16 is a good choice, but I am open to other options.

New KJ owner and weighing my options (long)

Sorry I've been mostly away from the forum the past couple months. Being a full time working adult and trying to finish a degree has kept me busy. Below are a few pics that I took back at the beginning of March of the roof damage and the outside of the Jeep; it still looks the same :). So far...

New KJ owner and weighing my options (long) (pics added 6/6/18) As I posted in my intro thread, I have purchased a 2005 Black Rocky Mountain 4x4 this past weekend from one of my best friends. He bought the vehicle brand new and daily drove it until the end of December/beginning of January; he...

    Hello all!

I am here to introduce myself :). I just picked up a KJ from one of my best friends over this past weekend. It is a 2005 Rocky Mountain 4x4. He purchased it new, and it now has just over 182k miles on it. It is 100% stock. I'll provide more detail about condition and things it needs along with a...
