    Just a noise...

I had though that if I removed the serpentine belt and ran the motor, the ac wouldn't be running therefore the noise should have been gone with the belt off and the engine running. But it was still there with no difference in speed or intensity. I'll try the lubeguard. Local "zones" only had the...

    leaking front differential help

I'm not sure which ones in the post I'm looking for. Sorry but could someone tell me which ones are most likely leaking, or maybe what to look for when inspecting the open diff for leaks? I could just open it and then look for the seal in the picture that matches the one on the passenger side of...

    Just a noise...

Where can that lubeguard be purchased? Someone recommended marvel mystery oil. Haven't ever used either product. Are they similar or does one not work very well? The oil I'm running is Mobil1 full syn 5w30 with Mobil1 extended life filter. Less than 1000 miles on this oil currently. I always...

    Proper Pressure

Line of chalk across tread of tire. Roll 4-5 revolutions. Look at chalk on tire. If center is work but sides are still chalky, too much air. Sides worn but center still chalky, too low psi. Keep doing the test until the chalk is evenly worn across the tread. Gotta be sure your jeep is in...

    Just a noise...

First, I know coming online to ask for help with a sounds is ill advised. But, im at a loss. No codes, cold a/c, no driveability issues or overheating. KJ doesnt make any weird engine noises, until this morning that is. Dropped fiancé off at work, no noise. Dropped her sister off at work 5 hours...

    leaking front differential help

Bringing this thread back to life real quick. I have an 05 KJ 3.7 4x4 and I recently serviced the front diff (fluid, outer seals for CV axles) and replaced my CV axles. I have a leak on the passenger side at the outer seals. What bushing/bearing would I need to replace? Might as well get fresh...

    Aftermarket Exhaust

Reviving an old thread. Which magnaflow muffler is recommended? Is there a different in engine/exhaust systems between an 05 KJ 3.7 and an 05 WK 3.7? I'd like to put a magnaflow on both of them but not sure if the same part number would apply

    Diff leak

Funny you mention that I was just under it this afternoon replacing my rack and pinion bushings (one was basically non existent, just the metal spacer) and I felt the slop or play in my CV axles. Grabbed the inner housing on the driver's side and I get very little play in a rotational direction...

    Diff leak

Tom- which Dyno do you typically use? I do not have enough of a leak to have it drip down, after a 20m drive I can look under and there's a good coating on the lower control arm, the center cross member that supports the trans, and the housing that the passenger CV axle sits in just outside the...

    Diff leak

Hey guys, issue here. I recently replaced both cv axles and the axle seals but now Im having the passenger side leaking. It doesnt leak while just parked but does when I drive. Its not such a big leak that my diff fluid is low. when I remove the fill plug and stick my pinky in, the fluid is just...

    Proper Pressure

Im more inclined to be concerned with tire wear vs. ride comfort. It is a lifted jeep after all I can't expect it to ride like an old crown Vic . I have the stock 17's. Running 15 psi offroad won't break the bead? Obviously It will be more likely with aggressive driving

    Proper Pressure

Still new here and not sure how to compose properly clearly lol. I do understand how you can't read minds and expect everyone to know certain things. I'm currently at 31 so I'll go up a bit to 34-35 and see how a few hundred miles looks on the tires. I'm glad someone has used these scorpions...

    Proper Pressure

Come on guys if I'm going through the process of using an equation to get my most ideal tire pressure, it's probably safe to assume that I know to check my tires often. The door jab psi is a recommendation for the stock tire size. Im not running stock size, and my tires have a different weight...

    Proper Pressure

2337@44psi. When installed they set pressure to 40! Crazyness. Currently sitting at 31psi warm. Did the equation 2337*4= 9348 Est jeep weight 4200 (one passenger, no armor or skids, no extra cargo) 4200/9348=~ 44%. 44psi(max press) * .44 (vehicle is currently 44% of the max weight limit of...

    Proper Pressure

Hey all, recently got new tires. Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus 245/70 on stock 17's. My KJ is close to stock weight (no skids or armor yet) and I weigh less than 200lbs. Using the tire pressure equation (the one where you take you weight and the tires max crating load yadda yadda) and I got 19lbs...

Regear because of weight or size?

Does the 4cylinder KJ front end that comes stock 4.10 have the same limiting factors or can it be made into a 4.56 relatively easy?

Regear because of weight or size?

I have a 05 KJ. I didn't know about the limit with the front diff I only knew you needed a new cover in the rear. If I were to buy the setup for a regear I'd prefer to do a 4.56 but I guess it's more complex than a 4.10. Any chance you have a link to what kind of fan you used?

Regear because of weight or size?

What's the cost difference between going to 4.10 or to 4.56? I know the diff cover can't handle the 4.56 so you need the JBA one. If it's not too terrible difference would it be smart to go to the 4.56?

Regear because of weight or size?

So will I have any transmission over heating issues? My WK had an alert on the dash for trans over temp (got bigger tires and went cross country, mainly got so hot in the desserts between new mexico and Cali) and now I'm thinking it was partially due to getting larger tires without regearing...
