    Water leak into foot well.

FIXED. I noticed water behind the dashboard in a little gap as I opened the door. I removed door rubber trims and after a couple of goes, sealed all round the windscreen with clear silicone (I'm a bathroom fitter so always have tubes handy). It now appears to be dry.

    Water leak into foot well.

I think the hardened cracked sealant I found may be the same area, under the plastic cowl that covers the wiper motor. Almost at the bottom corners of the windscreen?

    Water leak into foot well.

Thanks. No sunroof, and yesterday I uncovered the scuttle, took the trim right off and got the air gun in there. I didn't see anything untoward, except a couple of old seals, a kind of hardened putty with cracks. I cleaned them off and re sealed. I'd like to tackle anything I can as we have a...

    Water leak into foot well.

Hi. Trying to work through the problems I've found with my first jeep KJ. I've just discovered that water enters the right hand side foot well, and over my foot as I drove. This is a UK car, right hand drive and that's the side that's leaking. I have read about a gasket on the bulkhead/...

    Re-visiting my siren problem

I forgot to mention, that's missing anyway and read that's quite a usual one to remove.

    Re-visiting my siren problem

Hi. I've returned after time away from my 2007 KJ . I'm again seeing if anyone can help with my alarm siren problem. The alternator stopped charging, the battery ran dead. I believe that it could've caused this problem with the alarm siren. If I close the car with the remote key fob, after 20...

    Alarm problem.

It does have the computer and info display above the rear view mirror. Is this what you mean ? Also, all doors lock and unlock. I would guess that a faulty switch would stop that.

    Alarm problem.

When this problem started, I checked the bonnet switch. It's missing, and think it has been for a while. I tried sorting it but that gave a bonnet open message. I can't find any door switches so I squirted wd40 into the door catches hoping that it may sort out any dirt or stuck switches. Do you...

    Alarm problem.

Thanks for the thread link. Sadly, neither of the suggestions worked, although I noticed they weren't specified for the KJ, but a different model. I'll see if I can find an alarm reset post for the KJ

    Glow plug removal

Hi. I'm tackling several jobs on the KJ, one of them being renewal of glow plugs. I've watched tutorials , but they mostly skip over removals if the glow plug cap connection. I've read that there are several types of glow plug, so prior to tacking the whole job, I'm trying to remove the one...

    Alarm problem.

I've already deep charged the battery whilst I was sorting the alternator. I disconnected it overnight yesterday too. It's only at 10.5V cranking, and usually sits dormant at 12.6v. Ive hit a wall, I'm not very knowledgeable about electrics. I don't have a jeep dealer nearby either, not popular...

    Alarm problem.

Hi. I have recently bought a 2006 ok crd. I've done a few miles in it, but recently, returning from an hour round trip, battery warning light came on, systems shut down, and I fortunately just got back on to my drive. I replaced the alternator, and the car now starts and drives ok. However...
