I don't know, after 50 years of doing it that way, I haven't had one complaint. Check your road, it is crowned. Every road in the USA is and I have been all over the country. It is a build standard for road construction.
Caster +2.5 left side, +2.75/3.0 right side unless you roads aren't crowned. Keeps it tracking straight without input. Square if roads are flat.
Camber: -.25 to zero.
Toe-in: max of 1/16"
If you can't find someone straightaway, I would at least set the toe. You can do that yourself without exotic tools. I use quart paint cans standing on the flat of the driveway, in front and behind and outside the tires. I have two Aluminum 2" x 2" I beams (from my racecar days). You can use 4'...
There is a company here in Michigan that makes sheet metal parts for Libbies!

I am running Yokohama HT/X with great luck for several years now on my 2006 CRD. I drive pavement, improved dirt roads (ish), unimproved roads and Tin Cup Pass in Colorado without an issue.
Don't leave, stick around and find another KJ. Swap the new parts over and scrap the remains. Those are a lot of good parts there to save. Someone else will make $$$$$ selling them instead of you reusing.
With the sparking, the problem is ground related, but also check your Fuel Cut-Off switch in the right hand "A" pillar kick panel. They shut off the fuel in an impact and can be reset. Remove the right kick panel, on the base of the A pillar you will find a switch, on top of it is a button to...
As a fuelly, Jasper has been my choice for years when I didn't have time to do it myself. I was looking at Powertrain Products for a transmission and impressed with their rebuild processes. They have good ratings and comments.
The fuel line fittings **** air in because the fittings are meant for pressure not diesel suction. The CRD doesn't have a rear pump like gas engines. The pump is on the engine and pulls from the tank. Lost Jeeps have a thread all about the care and feeding of CRD's.
CRD's don't have a rear pump unless you installed it. They have a mechanical one on the engine driven by the cam timing belt. You can get air in the fuel lines that give this effect. Open the hood and in-board of the brake master is the filter head with a button on it. Pump that button until...
When you shift out of 4X the t-case doesn't release until you back up some in a straight line then coast to unlock it. It is because of the way the front axle system is set up. It keeps the case engaged until released of load. Any engagement on dry pavement can cause the binding effect, it is...
MM,
I have had my 06 KJ CRD from day one and now pushing 240K. I have changed the fluids regularly, changed the timing belt twice, replaced the power steering lines because of rust. I build mine from SS tube and braided hose from the race car. The trans has been no problem even though diesels...
