If you are crafty enough to keep it in time, I don't see a problem. Without removing the cover, there is a pretty good opportunity for things to go sideways with the timing.
A customer comes in and asks you what does it cost to replace the transmission, I quote the cost to replace it. I would ask how they determined the transmission is bad before jumping but they are not going to pay for troubleshooting if they are sure its bad. If I decide to spend the time to...

If you put the transmission in park does it hold it from rolling? If it does, it is mechanically connected through the transfer case and most likely a transmission problem.
Have you removed the pan and checked for debris? By removing the pan you can also check to be sure the filter still in...
If it was a sentry key problem, you would have an indicator on the dash.
I would check the crankshaft position sensor. Here is how the PCM processes a missing crank signal:
The PCM monitors the crankshaft position sensor. If the PCM does not receive a crankshaft position sensor signal within 3...
I'm with van462... it sounds like the engine shut off and that caused the oil light to come on.
I would be looking for spark and fuel pressure before I messed with the oil pressure sensor.
These threads always crack me up.....
Everybody has something "special" that they do and they never have any problems.
The bottom line is anyone that changes oil at the recommended interval and uses any brand of oil, synthetic or not, with the correct API service classification, is going to...
Ahhhh...... no, you need to change oil in these engines or they will sludge up and die....
Here is a link where you can see the result of neglected oil changes:

The only thing that I have seen go wrong with an orifice tube is plugging due to debris from a failed compressor. A restriction there will cause low suction pressure and a warm evaporator. If your suction pressure is good and your suction line into the compressor is cool, your orifice tube is...
29" Hg = 20,000 microns This is not a deep vacuum. You should get below 750 microns which is 29.89" Hg. 500 microns is better.
You need a micron gauge to properly measure a deep vacuum. A compound gauge is not adequate. As you can see one inch Hg is over 20,000 microns.
I am an AC tech. Here is my advice,..
The guy that wanted to complexly evacuate and recharge you system was quoting the correct way to service your system. Today's CCOT systems have a very small refrigerant capacity and are very sensitive to having the proper charge. The only way to get the...
