Electrochromatic rear view mirror...
Thanks for helping me out again VT. I was interested in the Cherokee one because it was an 05, and that it had a harness. Makes the job easier. The price is so good I may snap it up regardless, that and the EVIC.- C.W.

2006 EVIC w/ Homelink, CHEAP!
OK. The ambient temperature sensor is only about $30 as well. I might call the stealership and ask them how much a wiring harness would cost. I certainly don't want to pay to get it installed, unless I'd already done everything except hooked up the wiring under the dash. Electrical work...- C.W.

2006 EVIC w/ Homelink, CHEAP!
Sounds good, but the seller does not include a harness or retainer for it (I need it for an 05 Renegade). Should I buy it and hope I can get the harness and retainer later, or just buy those from the dealer?- C.W.

Clear Corners for 05+
Dave, you are correct! And I have done that very thing..in cars that actually had the clear corners available. I just think they are being short-sighted in not producing clear corners for the 05-07 KJ, since there would be a market for it. Ooooh well. I'll have to console myself by spending...- C.W.

Deep Scratch...Black Paint...AHHHHH!
Bummer. Every time I go out there's a new scratch or chip on my car. I just tried langka paint repair yesterday on a few chips and scratches. Is it perfect? No. Could it be? Yes, with practice. You fill the scratch/chip like JeepJeepster says, but then with the langka you use the blob...- C.W.

Great article on oil myths
Thanks for the article. I remember reading something along these lines a few years ago, but it's nice to have a refresher as to why I don't change my oil as often as most. I -like- my money. I'll definitely be trying 5w30 year round, though. Typically I've just stuck to 10w30. Ah well...- C.W.

Carfax accident report...
I have two kj's I'm interested in, an '06 with a tow package and an '07 without. The former is for 16000, the latter is for 17000, with half the mileage of the '06. I would love to take it to my mechanic to check the vehicle, but that's not feasible since I live 3 and 4 hours away from the...- C.W.

Carfax accident report...
Yes, I've decided to concentrate on one-owner, clean carfax kj's. Why take the risk? Yet since the number of kj's with the towing package is quite small, I have expanded my search to those without it, and am now leaning to an '07. Just think, I -started- looking at an '02, and kept bumping it...- C.W.

Thanks for the help. I will see if the dealer has any info about it. Probably just a fender bender, but you can never tell. I think the problem is I have to drive hours to find an '06 regardless if its a Limited or Renegade (either would be fine with me), so I don't want to end up going home...- C.W.

Oops, I guess I didn't make myself clear...the jeep is in excellent condition..however an accident was reported on carfax, which makes me leery. Just need to trade in my car soon before it breaks down again and I have to put even more money into it.- C.W.

Carfax accident report...
Hi all, I'm a newbie to the whole jeep thing, but am planning on purchasing an '06 KJ soon. I found a Renegade with everything that I want...but has had a front end accident, as reported on carfax. It has about 22K on it and the Jeep "Dealership" is asking 17k for it. No other issues are...- C.W.
