arb and gears first test
Just finished installing my arb lockers and 4.56 gears so I went to my local spot to test them. Everything works. Now time to check in the fuse box and accidently remove some... oops bye bye Esp the_finger.gif cant wait for snow to test my drifting skills- Boblemoche

KK front diff pic: arb and gears coming soon
time for a little update So I have recived all the parts for the front. I changed my mind on the gears and now im going with 4.56 :D The KK diff use the same gears as the JK dana30 so 4.10, 4.56, 4.88 and even 5.13 are available for our front diff but the rear cryco 8.25 is limited to 4.88...- Boblemoche

KK Gas Tank Skid Plate question
i made them my self with 3/16 steel plates. They are a lot stronger than the paper thin factory stuff. they can actually take a hit without being destroyed :D http://www.skidplates.com/Products_KJ.asp these are about the same strength than mine but I dont know if the diff, tranny or Tcase...- Boblemoche

KK Gas Tank Skid Plate question
the factory gas tank skid is just a plate welded on the gas tank holder and come pre assembled so you have to remove the old one to replace it and its a pita because nothig else is holding the tank in place. If you want to install it your self empty your tank before- Boblemoche

new tow hooks
you have to remove the bumper to have acess to the hole just above the hook bracket to insert the nuts. Mabe you could get away with nutzerts but it must be a pita to install them with the bumper on I dont think D shackles take more space then hooks but if it fit or not will depend mostly on...- Boblemoche

I have an eye on the the 4' lift that is coming soon and 32'' tires for next year mabe. I will also put arb in the rear. My armor is almost finished. I dont have a family car. The KK is my toy drive.gif- Boblemoche

So I guess im breaking the ice :D Im gonna install an arb and 4.10 gears in my front diff soon. I removed my front diff today with my buddy. First time I do such a job but it went well. It took us 5 hours. Tomorrow i will open it and clean everythig then next week I will buy a used D30 carrier...- Boblemoche

I didnt order my kk with skids and tow hooks package because there wasent one on the lot. No problem I thought, I can order them later and install them my self but when I asked the parts guy he did not find the right part number so he quoted me all the parts seperatly and it added up to around...- Boblemoche

I understand more air = more power but more power does not mean more fuel economy Lets say your cruising at 70 then suddenly with some magic you get a CAI then more air and more power so you accelerate but you want to stay at 70 so you release your foot a little and close slightly more the TB...- Boblemoche

No damage at all and I did put it back at least 2 times but now i wont because it really is useless to have it there imho . You can remove it before you go on a trail and put it back after.
