AZ Aug trip, common wheelin w us!

Count us in. Is this going to be sandy enough so that our stock Wrangler HP tires are going to be a problem?

AZ july trip, common wheelin w us

I will probably be copilot-less on this trip, Mary's probably working. I would suggest an early start, earlier the better, since if the rains come they will probably be in the afternoon.:( And remember, pretty much the whole Florence - Florence Junction area is state permit required. There...

AZ july trip, common wheelin w us

No sweat, no offense taken. Aren't we all on the same page here? I think we can accomodate everyone. I know my weekends are free well into August. and I don't have any specific designs on any specific trails. Hey, if we're talking two different trails on two different dates, I don't have any...

AZ july trip, common wheelin w us

I'm certainly not trying to pull in any particular direction. I had only suggested Martinez in the first place because I don't have to travel three hours to get there :) , but I expect it is prone to flash flooding. Like I said, we're up for whatever, and whenever. Russ

AZ july trip, common wheelin w us

We're up for whatever. Martinez cabin towards the end looks like it's the drain for much of that area so flash flooding is easily possible, I'm guessing.

AZ july trip, common wheelin w us

Color me interested. Something south of Phoenix, to keep it a little closer to home. Maybe Martinez Cabin - State Land Use permit required, IIRC. Or we could rekkie the Copper Creek area. Also State Land Use permit required. Russ

Crown King run (crossposted from LOST)

I didn't get a chance to see the FJ in action much, he was four vehicles in front of me. I am stock, and our clearances seemed about the same, although I did get hung up on one spot for about ten minutes (and I was the only one to get hung up). Russ

Crown King run (crossposted from LOST)

Hey, I lived in Grand Rapids for 15 years. We got rocks, but you've got sand (Silver Lake), if you're into that kinda thing. And of course there's places like Turtle Ridge if you're into *that* kinda thing. But you get the best deals on autos by far there in Detroit - in fact we went to...

Crown King run (crossposted from LOST)

A bunch of AZ LOST folks did the Crown King run, north of Phoenix, and these are cross-posted from the LOST board. We had four KJs (including two stock), one XJ, one Toyota FJ, and a Wrangler TJ. The terrain: The lineup: Special thanks to phxtoad for babysitting the stockers, and...

Ditto here, although I still haven't hosed the dust off or buffed out the brush scratches from the sandbowl. Thanks to y'all for a great run! A few pics in the pic forum thread from us with maybe more to come as we sort through them. Russ & Mary.
