    I hung a Curt on the back. Just had to run a tap thru the frame nut plates. I also opted to install the factory harness kit. I like having a constant "hot" wire on my trailers and add back-up lights to them.

    By the prints..... The original ground for the dash light was done in the switch. When this little "mod" happens to my 06, I am just gonna use a two pole switch. One half to power the relay and the other half to control the ground for the light.

    on my 06 Sport, I found a two wire connector taped to the column harness. It has has a switched hot in it. I used that since all the other wires were drug over to the OBD port. This has worked flawlessly for me.

    The short answer is this. A salvage motor is a roll of the dice. A rebuild is only as good as the people doing it. A reman long block is the best option short of a crate motor from the dealer.

    I tip my hat to you Just wanted to say thank you to all who contributed to this thread. Saved me a lot of head scratchin. My new to me 06 Sport now sports the tow package. Factory harnesses went in without a hitch.:rolleyes:
