Noisy engine
Thanks for all the replies. I have got an engine warning light but the error codes indicate Temp sensor or thermostat. I have the parts and having them replaced next week. I will then also have the engine oil drained and fresh oil filled. If I was to describe the noise it would be tac tac tac...- taylorcedric

Noisy engine
I have a 2005 KJ 3,7l petrol. The engine is very noisy, cold and not too bad when hot. I have been told that it is probably a sticky lifter. I have used an additive to the oil which does not seem to have made a diff. Any advice other than having the motor stripped. Which I cannot do myself.- taylorcedric
