    Make sure this is what you order from jparts.com: http://tinyurl.com/g2qcc I ordered and received my tranny skid from them in February for my '03 and had it installed last week at a Jeep shop. It took some drilling, but it works. I had them cut off the useless tabs.

    245/65/17 without lift?

    The difference is about a half inch taller and about half and inch wider. (29.5 x 9.64) That measures about the same as 245/70/R16 which fits non-lifted KJs.

    engine knock?

    Mine knocks on cold mornings until the engine warms up a bit. I just let it idle for a minute after starting then take it easy driving the first few minutes.
