The tires are 245/75R16s. I really like the tires and have no problem, yet, on shot rocks. They tore apart my old Toyos.
Traction is very good in mud puddles and such found on bush tracks in the spring and they are dandy on compound snow and ice in the Winter.
Wheels are Canadian Tire...
I have a Frankenlift on my 06 CRD. I am currently living near Lake Quesnel and spend 90% of my time on dirt and Forestry roads. No problems and I like the ride on the washboards much better although it wasn't bad before. The full time 4 wheel drive is like being on rails around corners in...
Happened to me also. 06 CRD.. I drove a fewblocks, stopped to BS with a fellow and then the car wouldn't accelerate. Like driving in idle. I turned it off for a minute or so and it started up and has run fine ever since.
I have that one. Bought it from the Dealer listed on EBay. I hated the one that came with my KJ with the Dealers name on it.
I like it fine and it is as well made as the original if not better.
I spend most of the time on Gravel Roads and the Full time 4x4 is a wonder. No more chattering around the corners on washboard and it feels under total control at all times.
Not so in 2wd. \:D/
Thanks for the idea. It could work if I screw a clamp do the floor for the box. I would prefer it in the engine and might have room if I replace the stock air filter.
That set up is similiar to the mount in my ute trailer.
Why wouldn't you? As for me, a winch, extra lights and a fridge. I do a lot of camping and fishing alone and need all the dependability I can get.
It's no fun to be 100 miles from help and have a problem. (yes, I do have a Sat. phone.) O:)
