Alternator problem?
I'm going to try and replace the belt and tensioner, if I can get the parts (i'm in a remote part of BC for work. Its a 7 hour drive home to Edmonton so I'm a bit afraid to take the damn thing home. I hate that excuse, its completely idiotic. I asked him if they that was in a memo from Chrysler or did he come up with that jewl on his own ( I was in a bad mood !!) The belt looked fine. I never thought of the belt tensioner... I'll have a look tomorrow. I will have to look up how to replace...- lbeothuckl

I was just going to say the same thing. I put one on last week. I had a ***** of a time with the holes. They were rusted. I got a wire brush and worked them clean. I also did the same thing with the last one on the passenger side, took the tire off, it was much easier. Also the model number...- lbeothuckl

Bug deflector
I find they do nothing for the windshield but they help against rocks hitting the hood. I had one but a rock split the damn thing and just haven't replaced it (really cold morning and the sander had just been out). It was fugly though!- lbeothuckl

Just as an update, brought it to the dealership ( I still have power train) they say everything is fine and that the alt is ok.... I'm worried about this and don't buy the "that happens sometimes deal"... Anyone heard of this.....- lbeothuckl

So I started the Jeep up and I thought there was a whining sound coming from the engine area. I popped the hood and couldn't locate the sound. Thats a cat... went to visit a friend, came outside and the deer is looking in..... He just stayed there. was a little odd lol. Edmonton is cold these days, not much of spring yet. Squeak from hell
Well the windshield has been replaced and the squeak is still there. One odd thing I noticed is that the squeak goes away (for a while) after I wash it. I'm at a loss...- lbeothuckl

Just checked mine, I don't think its the culprit. Can you make it squeak without the jeep moving (driving)? my squeak can only be replicated while driving it, no matter what I do I just had those a pillars off when pitting in the evic, should have checked then...- lbeothuckl
