I love LJ's. I wanted one so bad but couldn't find one in my price range when I was Jeep shopping. Takes all the advantages of a TJ and gets rid of the biggest disadvantage (to me), the lack of room. I'm sure you will be happy with them. If you do order them, call and place an order instead of using the web. Do you mean loud? I have a little over 30K miles on them now, and they are loud. No where near as loud as my chunked up, un-balance-able Goodyear MT/R's. On the Guard Dog model, the tread is quite a bit more compressed than a regular MT/R. The open spaces aren't as large. It is more like a really really aggressive all terrain; a hybrid MT / AT almost. I never really push it to hard when I'm by myself. I wheel alone a lot but definitely know the limits of my KJ. Dead Battery
I would bet that your battery is around 4 years old and at the end of its life cycle. Replace it and see if your problem continues. Search Craigslist for another set of stock Libby rims. I don't know where in Michigan you are (proximity to a large metro area) but I see KJ rims quite frequently on CL here in Phoenix. Usually pretty cheap too.- eyehatetofu

Thought I would bump this. It has been over a year since this post and my TW Guard Dog's are still going strong 25,000 miles later; roughly 30,000 miles total.
