    I did a round trip of 183km on the weekend and used just under half a tank. That included a bit of 4 wheeling too. I wish this Jeep had better mileage. Oh well. Better pack a few extra jerries.

    Its a 2005 Renegade V6. I think its the 42RLE transmission.

    Parking Brake Replacement

    I did mine a couple of months ago. Its pretty straight forward but a very tedious job. Took me ages and a lot of swearing to pull those springs back into place. There are videos on Youtube that show you what to do.

    Reverse not engaging

    Hi all, so this morning ive gone to drive the Jeep. Put it in reverse and nothing happened. I put it back in Park then back to reverse and again it didn't move. I gave it some revs and then I heard a Clunk noise and reverse engaged. Any ideas whats going on? Cheers.

    Had a great day exploring in the Jeep. Found a new waterfall that I hadn't been to on the Creb track. We enjoyed a couple of shallow water crossings, a rocky trail and a mud Hill. I was really happy with how the Jeep went. I think I need new sway bar links though.

    Gurgling from coolant overflow tank?

    Could try opening the bleed screw on the upper coolant hose when the Jeep is running. Keep it open until the air bubbles are gone. I think its an 8mm Allen wrench. This is on a WJ but same thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKRC5Svju8s

    Sorry to hear prof. Just be there for her. Got one of those gripping sockets and was able to remove the rear diff cover to change the oil. The old stuff was the colour of mud :/

    Jeep Liberty 2005

    Mine was doing a similar thing a while back. Really rough idle and would chug along when driving, almost like it had water in the fuel. Turns out it was the belt tensioner. Replaced that and it was all good again. Its a simple fix, too.

    Ah the parking brake. The bane of my Jeep! Im forever trying to put tension back in that cable. I cant believe such an important safety feature could be faulty on so many Jeeps.
