What did you do to your jeep today?
man, I've been seeing a lot of posts about "heater issues" on here lately...really hoping it's just because winter is coming and people are turning on the heat after not using it for a season, and not one of those "we're all going to have the same problem at once times" lol- hectikart

Grinding Grinding HELP
Front gearbox, as in front differential? You may have stripped the gears. Try replacing the front diff oil and see if you have alot of metal shards, or open the fill hole and dig around in there with a magnet and see what you pull out. It could also be front driveshaft CV, or your front axle...- hectikart

Really Disappointed with Hellas
So I ended up getting the lights working again. Replaced a bulb, fuse, relay and switch and they're good as new...and I just received my replacement set from Hella, which I don't feel guilty about keeping at all since I replaced so much getting them working again...now the question, where to...- hectikart

The part of CT I'm in is alright for gas, but I was just in Long Island for a wedding over the weekend...ridiculous. Front driveshaft
O, it was in a vice, with a crowbar, sledge, even rigged up a hydraulic jack against it to make a ghetto press of sorts. It was not coming off. Didn't wanna go too crazy on it because the last thing I wanted to do was wreck the driveshaft. Normally, I don't think it should be a prob to get off...- hectikart

Front driveshaft
Yeah, pretty easy. The only issue I had was getting the old CV off the driveshaft. Typically, it should slide off after you remove the retaining clip inside the CV, but mine was really rusted on there. I ended up bringing it to a local shop...guy charged me $20, took off the old CV and...- hectikart

What is the widest tire for stock suspension.
mine is 225/75r16 with 235/70r16 as a second stock option. I have an '06 though. Possible that the stock size for '02-'03 changed for the '04-'07 KJ's. Regarding all the suspension talk. I wouldn't necessarily trust the dealer as to the condition of the suspension. I bought mine certified...- hectikart

What is the widest tire for stock suspension.
Your speedometer is probably off a little right now because 215/75 isn't the stock size, 225/75 is...slightly bigger tire 29.29" vs. 28.69". A 235/75 will be 29.88" it will change the speedometer from what you have now, but I wouldn't worry about it. If you're really concerned with it, run a...- hectikart

What is the widest tire for stock suspension.
if you're not going to do any work to the suspension, I would stay with a stock size. Either 235/70-r16 or 225/75-r16. Assuming you still have the original suspension, it is definitely sagging by now, at least 1" probably closer to 2". So if you don't want to worry about rubbing, at least get...- hectikart

What load range are you using?
I'm still undecided, but think I'm leaning towards E. I use it for my daily driver with off-road on the weekends or whenever I see an opportunity to explore. E seems like it provides more psi flexibility. I don't really care about road noise, doesn't bother me, but I do care about sidewall...- hectikart
